 Olivia loved smashing it, but really didn't want anything to do with eating it.


She received many wonderful gifts and had a great time playing with her cousins. It's good to have family around. 

I have underestimated how much I would love my child. This year has flown by in such a wonderful way. I understand the feeling of wanting to slow down time..........


No matter the struggles along the way, parenthood is good :)



Over the year Olivia has enjoyed knocking down towers, chasing dogs, testing her limits by playing with chords and climbing on the dvd player, reading books, playing with her cousins, riding on dad's shoulders, snuggling mom, and capturing our hearts.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Not really snowed in, but pretty darn close. We had quite the snowfall this weekend. Olivia is always looking outside and pointing-the beautiful snow made it even more appealing.

She got to experience her first carnival as we headed up to Boone to join her cousins. She was in awe of all the people and enjoyed running around.

As we approach her birthday she is showing us a whole new set of skills. We had some friends over for dinner and she surprised us. We now have quite the little monkey on our hands....she has learned to pull up on the oven handle, on the chairs, anything she can. We have to know where she is at all times! She is also enjoying playing in the cupboards and taking out everything-quite the little sous chef.
