Animal Adventure

We did one more mini-trip to the Omaha Zoo with my side of the family. 13 people to herd around.....quite the adventure. The kids all loved seeing the animals. Liv's must sees where the giraffes and penguins. I loved seeing the elephants. She even got brave and rode the sky ride with dad. Everyone got to enjoy a round-trip ride on the train. For the most part the kids did well at the hotel, as well as little kids do. We ate some delicious pizza at Zios and a yummy breakfast at Wheatfields. Then we did the slides at Gene Leahy Mall-we got speed going down for sure. One little tumble for Liv and I. She thought it was awesome! It was a great weekend with great memories.

Time Flies

Cannot believe that summer is almost over......yes there are a few weeks left, but it has flown by. This summer has been busy.

We had an adventure to the east coast to visit Blake's side and hit the beach. It was a wonderful time even though it had it's rough spots, like driving a 12 hour day, getting kids to sleep in a new place, or having kids vomit. It was quite magical to see Olivia's reaction the first time to the beach and all the times she played in the waves. "Wow!" was her response. I'm glad it didn't disappoint as she had been looking forward and talking about it for months. She got to build sand castles, jump in the waves, run away from the water, search for seashells (she loved finding crab parts-can I keep them forever?-answer until they stink), and dig holes. Ben enjoyed himself, he may have eaten his fair share of sand.....but he was running all around, knocking down sand castles, and finding seashells to taste test. We hit up the aquarium while we were there-Liv got to touch a starfish and stingray. Another visit was the splash park, which I think was Ben's favorite. He is a brave and social little man. He goes up to all the kids and is NOT afraid to hang with the big kids or get into the water.

My favorite

I want to go to the ocea!

Walking down for the first view

You can't quite see the expression, but it is awe and amazement

Overall it was a great vacation full of memories.
