Love

Trying oatmeal for the first time, solids are in his near future!

This winter has been hard on Ben. Full body ezcema has been an experience. We are at the maintenance stage with that after visiting the doctor again and then the dermatologist. This kid is always a greased pig.  He has also seen the head specialist again.....I think we're headed towards a helmet. Either way he is adorable. He also has had a bout with bronchialitis and an ear infection (hoping he was going to skip this....as Liv had sooo many). Throughout all this he is in good spirits-big smiles. He has a great personality. He is also officially rolling over, he is doing it more and more. He loves to bounce and is getting pretty good at sitting up.

For his sister, she is such a sweet girl. Still not sleeping through the night on her own, but who can say no to snuggling this cutie? She has transitioned to the 3 year old room, crazy! She continues to hold her own with the big kids. She even shut one of her friends in the toy box because he was taking their toys. She is SUPER excited for her birthday, which is going to be princesses. She loves them right now. She picked out her invitations and helped put the stamps on to mail them. Evenings are filled with reinacting Frozen. She is Elsa and I'm Anna. Her favorite scenes are when Ann takes Elsa's glove or when Anna finds Elsa in her ice castle. We listen to the cd almost daily. She demands that Elsa's song is her jam. She loves her brother and gives him smooches. He enjoys watching her as she is busy and entertaining. It will be fun to watch their relationship grow.

4/5 months and holidays-so many changes!

Ben began daycare and has been wonderful, it took a little adjustment, but overall he is doing well. They say he is a happy, smiley guy. Just the little man we know and love.

Healthwise, he got a bad case of cradle cap and then a skin infection-which he was a good sport. He got antibiotics and a steroid cream to help out-if effected his sleeping (which is not through the night yet). It definitely helped. He also had his 4 month check-up. Overall his appointment went well and then we had a hiccup. We got referred to a specialist because his top soft spot (anterior frontal lobe) was thought to be closed (which is too early) or very small. It was difficult to tell because of his skin tauntness. Fortunately, we got into the specilist immediately. He gave us reassuring news that he didn't think it was closed, but that his was very small and tight (small head as an adult). He will continue to monitor Ben's head growth because he did have some concerns as because of this it was starting to affect Ben's eye socket and there was some buckling along the top of his head. He is not to lay on his back unless sleeping and then we are to encourage to put his head on the other side. He gets lots of tummy time and being upright to see if this will help and even out his head. We will find out more at his next appointment in January.

He continues to battle eczema, so he is greased up at all times. Which means he isn't a huge fan of getting his clothes changed. He does however, love his time on the changing table to lay on his back-loves to grab his toes and smile at us.

There will be lots of pictures to update on the holiday and his monthly pictures....just not getting much time to get anything done except hang out with the kids.

So much joy this holiday season and exhaustion!
