Back to School

We are all adjusting back into the routine. A few little updates on daycare: she is now taking naps on a cot, she tries to escape through the playground fence (good thing her melon won't fit), and she loves seeing the big Clifford outside her room as we come and go. She still has days when it is more difficult for drop off and they say she gets anxious towards the time she knows when we should be there. She definitely is holding her own even though she is the second youngest one in the room.

We got to visit Adventureland for the first time with Great Aunt Nicki and cousin Eddie. I wasn't quite sure how she felt about the rides, but she went on them. The last ride, the ladybug, she did ask for more so I'm guessing she enjoyed herself. We may need to go again next summer.

We love seeing this

Cuddles with dad are the BEST

She is developing quite the LOOK

Enjoyin some of this nice weather

Out to dinner fun with the Chesnuts, she loves her cousin Avery. We can't wait until Avery can babysit.
 Chores

Bath time fun, she loves using paint

Weekends are wonderful as we get to lounge around (so nice to not have to rush around in the morning to get places), do work around the house (she is a great helper-especially laundry), and get a lot of play time together.
She just makes my heart happy.
Stay tuned.....Fall adventures await!

18 months

Our little girl is growing up so quickly!

We are getting back into the routine as I'm heading back to work. Liv started daycare again and it definitely will take some time to transition. This year she has started in a new room, the young 2s. Of course being only 18 months she is one of the younger ones in the room. This means she has begun to nap on a cot, is around kids that are/or in the stage of potty training, and gets to play on the big playground. She cried both mornings that Blake dropped her off and was so excited when I picked her up in the afternoon. Thankfully I've been able to pick her up early for a few days to help ease her in as she continued throughout the days to go to the door looking for us.

What Mom, you want a good picture? Ha ha!

This is the best one, little stinker
It is still hard for me to let someone else watch her (especially someone that is not family), but I know she adjusts and does well. I just hope that daycare is a positive experience for her.

Blake may need to put a climbing wall up in basement

She packs herself up, waves, and tells me bye as she takes off to her room or to chase the dogs.

A little fun with her cousins

First ride on the train at the zoo
Teething continues to be difficult for her, but we are seeing some progress. She now has 8 teeth and is working on a few more from what we can tell.
We read about 50 books a day, that doesn't count the ones she looks at alone

We are loving seeing her personality develop as her repetoire of play grows. We have amazing tea parties, read soooo many books, watch cartoons (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, WildKratts, and Curious George), and chase. Liv has started the habit of wanting some alone time it seems. On a daily basis she goes back to her room, shuts the door, says bye, and just looks at books in her room. This can last anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes. It's crazy how independent she is becoming already. She also definitely has an opinion on what she wants to eat (thankfully it's still mostly what we want her to eat), but if she isn't feeling it that day-she isn't eating it. Vegetables, fruit, meat, cheese and crackers are some of her go to foods. Her vocabulary is growing and even if she can't say all the words she wants she knows how to get her point across and we have animated conversations. It will be awesome when it all comes together for her.

Stay tuned.....Fall fun is coming!
