Olivia and I had a girls weekend as Blake went off on a canoe trip with his friends in Arkansas. The timing worked out as Olivia got double ear infection. It was a trying weekend as Liv decided not to sleep-which gave me my first, second, and third reason to begin drinking coffee. Hoping to get back to our regular schedule. I did not become addicted to caffeine thankfully-but I do appreciate the little kick that it gave me to get through the day.
We had a very busy weekend.....we went up to Boone to hang out with the Chesnuts. Olivia cheered both Sam and Avery during their ball games. She enjoyed playing at their new house and tried to imitate everything they do.
Olivia loves visiting her cousins!
Over Memorial day weekend Olivia got to help me plant flowers in our pots to brighten up our front door. Liv took her first tractor ride on our mower, it was exciting. She loves being outside and I foresee a summer of hanging outside from morning to night. I am excited to begin our daily walks again throughout the neighborhood and start some other summer adventures as weekly trips to the zoo, parks, pool, and the library.
We also visited Boone again and while at the grandparent's house Olivia got her first goose egg on her forehead. It was a doozey-it was so sad to see her falling and not being able stop her from hitting her head on something. She rolled with the punches as after she gave a few minutes of crying, she went right back to doing what she was doing. This girl is fearless!Summer vacation has officially begun, we started off by having lunch with dad. Then we headed to Scratch Bakery for something sweet, took a walk, and then got Olivia's first haircut. She looks so grown up and adorable. We got a little baggy with her curls that were snipped as a keepsake. Over Memorial day weekend Olivia got to help me plant flowers in our pots to brighten up our front door. Stay tuned.....if this is how enjoyable each day of summer is going to be, I can't wait!
