Scrub a dub dub, Olivia in the tub

Olivia is enjoying bath time. This is mostly a Daddy and Olivia bonding time. I love hearing the splashes and giggles of them playing together, which usually ends in a "Bath time is over, you stood up." Blake is trying to teach her to be safe in the tub.

Check out her pigtails
Maybe a hair cut will be in the near future.....or this year anyways.

She really enjoys people chasing her, especially her dad. When I try she usually runs towards me. Playtime is a new adventure these days.

Dad was trying to put on her headband, she is now ready to put on her 80s workout routine.

Lately while shopping she isn't so content sitting in the cart watching, instead she likes to try to stand. So we decided to try one of the big carts that has something to keep her engaged, watch out she is a crazy driver. I am glad they provide wipes because she won't keep her mouth off of things right now. Possible that she may be working on some more teeth.

She loves putting things on her head and running around, yes not walking running. She has the walking thing down now so she wants to go fast, which in turn has caused some tumbles.

After all that running this girl crashes hard.

Stay tuned......this little busy body is on the go!

Little Liv

Our little girl is growing up way too fast! I can't believe that we will be celebrating her 1st birthday in just a few short weeks.

Hanging out at the hospital for her ultrasound.....things are moving in the right direction, her kidneys look good! She was awesome during her tests, now we just wait until her 1 year check-up.

smiling, but the flash was too much
Hy-Vee breakfast, love it when we have family breakfasts

This is what happens now when we try to take a posed picture, she is a mover!

We got to spend a long weekend together-which just happened to my birthday celebration. Last year I got in enter a new decade looking forward to welcoming out first baby and now this year I realized yep I'm in my 30s, which I'm really happy to have Olivia hear to help me enjoy it. She and Blake made it special by cooking me a wonderful meal and baking a delicious chocolate cake that we got to enjoy with my family. Blake and I also got to have an evening out while my parents watched Olivia.

Loving her dog, she loves both of them. They are very tolerable as she learns nice touches.

Stay tuned.....someone turns 1 soon!

Winter Break

Breaks are supposed to be restful, right? Well this winter break was quite a busy one from holiday celebrations with families to visiting the doctors. Over break Liv ran quite the fever (we visited the doctor 3 weeks straight before getting down to it. We had a couple follow up appointments, but she received antibiotics and is on the mend finally.  During this we got to enjoy some sweet snuggles, just not much sleep.

She was the cutest little patient and such a trooper. Very grateful to helpful medical staff. We have a follow up ultrasound to see what our plan will be to make sure Olivia is healthy and well.

During break we also got to experience Olivia getting her first 2 teeth.....yep that's right 2! Our little girl is getting chompers :)

Olivia is continuing to sharpen her skills of walking-it seems you see you one place and the next second she is across the room, definitely speedy. She is also experimenting with using utensils during meals. She has good coordination, but sometimes she just likes to place the food on it and then take it right back off to put into her mouth. She's been showing some love to her new baby doll too, she was very interested in her cousin Avery's so she got one as well.

Not everyone can make this look work, but somehow she does it.

She loves pulling off her books and looking through them. Read this one, no this one....wait maybe this one.

Liv is enjoying hearing herself trying out new sounds....grunts, screams, and squeals fill out house along with giggles (she definitely knows dog-points to both of them and says /daw/). She is now pointing to things she wants along with waving anytime someone enters or says hello and good-bye. She is a friendly little one as well-at the store or anytime there are kids around she is waving to them.

A new game she is loving is getting chased or hearing "I'm going to get you"....she turns away or tries to crawl/walk away as quickly as she can while turning to make sure you're still coming.

Stay tuned.....this little one is a sassy! She is going to keep us on our toes for sure :)

The start of 2015 sure was an experience. I wonder what else this year has in store for our family!!
