Summer Babe

I don't know how it is possible for our love to grow for Olivia, but it constantly does. She has and continues to bring us so much joy. We are filled with amazement watching her learn and grow. 

Looking forward to learning to swim

Olivia got to begin taking swim lessons at the YMCA in Waukee. The first night was a little rough-only due to her lack of napping during the day. She lasted about halfway through. We have a few more times so I'm sure she will get the hang of it. She enjoys swimming in her little pool on our deck.

Olivia does a great job hanging out in the highchair during meal times, thanks Uncle Billy for the nursing/teething necklace. 

I love sitting in my highchair and trying new foods!

Olivia has been working hard this summer....learning to use a sippy cup, trying many new foods, she has learned to roll over both ways, sleeps in her own room, and is getting really good at sitting on her own.

Summertime

Some of my favorite things this summer....swimming, swinging, bouncing, pulling hair, and trying new foods. Some hard things this summer....transitioning to my own room and continuing to take bottles. She is getting the hang of it and has good & better nights. (I don't want to say bad nights because the hard ones I still feel she does a pretty good job)

So far she has tried rice cereal (not a big fan of it), green beans, avocado, and sweet potatoes. So far the veggies are going well. It is such an exciting time to see how she responds to each new food.

We are on the go now....visiting Dad for lunch, meeting friends for walks, visiting Grandpa Jeff for lunch, BBQs, shopping and much more. I'm getting used to being in my car seat this summer! Sometimes it's a great time to take a quick snooze when needed.

Mary, Mary, Maryland

I've grown so much!

Olivia took her first plane ride to visit Blake's side of the family in Maryland. We did a lot while there....met some of her great-grandparents, attended 2 BBQs, walked around Inner Harbor, and went to the Baltimore aquarium. It was a busy trip packed with a lot of wonderful memories. She was a wonderful traveler-I'm sure there will be many more trips in her future.
