We celebrated Olivia's baptism. It was a wonderful day full of family and memories. We got to have both sides of our family together for this special occasion...Olivia was awesome during the baptism. Something that made this occasion even more special was that she wore the same baptism dress that I was baptized in. My older sister and her daughter also wore it during their baptisms. I think it is very cool that both my sister & I and our daughters have this connection. Olivia's godparents are my sister & husband and Blake's brother (who couldn't come). The party at home, was a little overwhelming with all the people wanting to get snuggles with her.
We got to spend time with Grandad Bill
Bottles were a hard transition, but Blake got her to take them! He took over duty the first 3 days I went back to work. Day 1 at home was rough....she would only take 2.5 oz from him. Each day she gave in a little more. Every evening when I got home I got lots of snuggles and feeding. It was needed for the both of us. Over the weekend we mostly nursed, but still offered a bottle to keep it in the mix. This week Grammy & Pop (Blake's mom & stepdad) took their turn watching Olivia. Each day the bottle was hard to begin, but then she got the hang of it. They all sent me pictures to help me throughout my days at work. Next week it is back to Blake and then Grandma (my mom) will finish out my time back at work. As grateful as I am for having so much family support, I am sooo looking forward to spending summer with her.
This week's stats: 13 lbs. 11.6 oz.
We got a visit from my college friend, Lindsay and her family....Olivia and Ford got to meet. I'm sure they'll be good friends at future Kappa gatherings!
Stay tuned....summer adventures are yet to come!
